To be used to produce flow-resistant and abrasion-resistant surface layers
Overview
This split (stone) mastic asphalt (SMA) is made with a special gap-graded asphalt mixture and is characterized by the meshing effect of coarse aggregates and the tamping effect of high-quality sand mastic.
Features
- Provides superior abrasion resistance thanks to substantial amounts of coarse aggregates and asphalt binder and high levels of resistance to scuffing and aggregate toughness.
- Excellent flow resistance due to the meshing effect of coarse aggregates and the asphalt binder modification effect of vegetable fibers.
- The coarse aggregate mixture, which consists of a low-porosity skeletal structure filled with high-quality sand mastic with substantial amounts of filler and asphalt binder, results in excellent watertightness, flexibility, and crack resistance.
Uses
- Surface layer in snowy and cold regions
- Surface layer of highways
- Base layer of drainage pavement
