To be used to produce flow-resistant and abrasion-resistant surface layers

Overview

This split (stone) mastic asphalt (SMA) is made with a special gap-graded asphalt mixture and is characterized by the meshing effect of coarse aggregates and the tamping effect of high-quality sand mastic.

Features

  1. Provides superior abrasion resistance thanks to substantial amounts of coarse aggregates and asphalt binder and high levels of resistance to scuffing and aggregate toughness.
  2. Excellent flow resistance due to the meshing effect of coarse aggregates and the asphalt binder modification effect of vegetable fibers.
  3. The coarse aggregate mixture, which consists of a low-porosity skeletal structure filled with high-quality sand mastic with substantial amounts of filler and asphalt binder, results in excellent watertightness, flexibility, and crack resistance.

Uses

  • Surface layer in snowy and cold regions
  • Surface layer of highways
  • Base layer of drainage pavement
