Drainage Pavement PERVIOUS

Quickly draws rainwater below the road surface, improves drivability and visibility, and reduces noise levels

Overview

This drainage pavement consists of a permeable porous asphalt mixture used for the surface layer of roadways to quickly draw and discharge rainwater below the road surface. Color Pervious, a colorized version of Pervious, as well as SafePave, a thin-layer version of Pervious, are also available.

Features

  1. By quickly draining rainwater from road surfaces, splashing and spraying are prevented, skid resistance is ensured, and the safety of vehicles on the road during rainy weather is enhanced.
  2. By preventing diffused reflections on road surfaces that would otherwise be caused by any film of water still on the surface of the road, visibility is improved for drivers.
  3. The noise of tires in contact with the road whenever a vehicle is being driven is reduced.

Uses

  • Highways on which vehicular safety is required
  • Urban roads where traffic noise and splashing are problematic
