Overview

Warm Mix Asphalt is made with a special additive known as FoamSet for improved mixing during the production process and compactibility during paving. It can be produced at a production temperature that is lower by approximately 30°C with the same level of workability of Hot Mix Asphalt or as a mixture with a higher level of workability without lowering the production temperature.

Features

1. Energy savings: Reducing production temperatures reduces the consumption of fossil fuels.
2. Reduced CO₂ emissions: Reducing fossil fuel consumption reduces CO₂ emissions.
3. Ensuring quality: Workability and compactibility are improved. Also, the workability is the same as normal even when the temperature of the mixture drops, thus extending the time available for paving and the distance over which the asphalt mixture can be transported.

Uses

• Pavement works where environmental considerations are required, Traffic-controlled works that requires early opening to traffic, colored pavement works where discoloration due to thermal degradation is a concern
• Works performed during a cold season or in remote areas where there is concern about the temperature of the asphalt mixture decreasing, Works using special mixtures and manual works for which a high level of workability is required
