For waterproof layers of steel bridge slabs
Overview
This pavement is laid down by pouring a high-temperature, highly fluid gussasphalt mixture. It is generally used for waterproof layers on deck slab pavement for steel bridges. Rolled Gussasphalt for surface layers with pre-coated chips press-fitted to improve flow resistance and slip resistance is also available.
Features
- Impermeable with excellent flexibility, watertightness, impact resistance, and abrasion resistance.
- Poured-in-place construction precludes the need for roller compaction.
- Void-less pavement can be obtained as the mixture flows into the bolts and bumps along steel deck slab joints.
Uses
- Steel deck slab pavement on bridges
- Pavements in snowy and cold regions (Rolled Gussasphalt)
- Freezer floor pavements (Floor Gussasphalt)
- Filler for buried pipes
