Overview

This special treatment mitigates increases in the temperature of rails on hot summer days and inhibits the elongation of rails due to thermal expansion by applying the special solar heat-blocking paint developed for railroad rails to the sides of the rails.

1. Inhibiting the elongation of rails: The elongation of rails is impeded on hot summer days, thereby reducing the risk that railroad switches in special branched sections fail to work properly and the risk that rails expand and buckle.
2. Special solar heat-blocking paint with excellent adhesion and washability: As the paint was developed for use on railroad rails, it can be applied to rusted rails currently in use. The coated surface is resistant to rust and smearing and can be easily cleaned even if it gets dirty.
